still a lil bit of time left till 2007....not feeling any excited tho...cos i cant get to go out and feel the atmosphere...saw on tv that sungai wang is sooo happening!!! so many artistes are there right now..daniel lee is there too!!! LOL...how i wish i can be there to feel the crowd!!! next year...i will definitely go for new year countdown at least once b4 i left msia..lol..=P

oh yes and b4 i do the whole sum up..let me wish a HAPPY BIRTHDAY to 2 of my college mates...one my bestie(in pic) and another is my roomie..their birthday is on the 31st!!! how great can that be!! =)

okay..let's make this a short one...what i've done in 2006...

jan: still relaxing while the rest of the food fam's members went to college...i was still waiting for results that time...not doing anything except for taking driving lessons..wasted a good one month...

feb: counldnt really remember wat happened...and i think i got my license after a 2nd attempt...haha...celebrated vicki's birthday and still enjoying my sweet holidays..valentine's day was nothing to me tho..haha

march: SPM results out...finally decided to enrol myself in HELP University College..although i really wanted to go to Taylor's...met a handful of great people there..went thru the hassles of applying scholarships and stuffs...getting busy..celebrated both long kor's and vege's birthday...

april: went for jpa interview...at the same time struggling to cope in college...travelling by public trans to college is troublesome but i'm lucky sometimes to have a so called driver to pick me..hehe...

may: results for interview out...did not make it, as expected but was forced to appeal...even tho i know i dun stand a chance...but i have to do it nevertheless...

june: 2 years down the road and still counting with him...and appeal results was out...i got in but my life changed after this...terrible...quitted A levels and went to INTEC at the end of the month..

july: bro left for studies in australia for a year...while i'm trying to cope with the competitive environment of INTEC..met lotsa smart alecs there...and of course lots of nice frens there too...however, i dislike the condition of the hostel...and being away from home, from comfort zone is hard!! only get to travel back once a week..*pic shown here is a view of the hostel*

aug: finally had a week hols break...celebrated pao's birthday and had a perfect attendance for that day...*cheerz for us all!!*

sept: getting busy in college and celebrated my birthday..getting older..fishy's bday is in this month too but i couldnt make it to her celebration...sorry gal~

oct: preparing for year 11 final test and had a good 2 weeks study leave..

nov: sat for the final test and enjoying myself after the tests...celebrated eggie's birthday and had my semester break...*pic taken right after our last paper on the 16th =D*

dec: time flies...in hols mood and did some spring cleaning...celebrated christmas and got my phone lost...one of the saddest moment of year 2006...looking forward for a better 2007!!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR ALL!!! MAY 2007 WILL BRING US JOY AND HAPPINESS!!

p.s: eggie..tell me more bout the en mohd merah's incident..may he rest in peace...

next UP: new year, new resolution...=P

i've finally decided to blog after being on hiatus... i guess it was due to sheer laziness....

i just came back yesterday at 1am...it was such a long journey back my butt ached...

so i left on 26th at abt 10am..we had lunch at malacca...we ate chicken rice ball! then we travelled till johor bahru... we reached the hotel at abt 5 or 6 in the evening... i went on this trip with jacqueline and her family... the plan was to stay at the hotel just b4 the bridge 2 s'pore n we wud travel by car 2 s'pore...

the hotel has a mall joined 2 it so we walked ard after resting for a bit in our rooms... then we ate dinner at handlebar... food was yummylicious! jac's dad warned me beforehand that we're supposedly on an eating holiday n i shud be prepared..lol... after dinner it was too late 2 walk ard so we retreated back to our rooms

we had fried baby squids for supper(so gonna gain weight..) n after dat we ate cup noodles...i was full so i told jac i'll juz share wif her... n her bro gave me mint choc(who can resist??) gosh i'm seriously gonna turn into a fat pig...

the next day, we had breakfast buffet at a restaurant in the hotel....the food wasnt spectacular.... just barely edible to me..hehe...mayb i'm too pampered... after that we went swimming at the hotel pool...it was so freaking cold!!! like ice water!!! thats cuz its been raining in jb lately...so we swam...more like played n laze ard...haha....

after that we went 2 s'pore...it rained!!! it was so sad... BUT a little rain is not gonna stop me from shopping rite?? so we walked in the rain...i mean we werent the only ones anyway...we shopped ard orchard road!

we realised dat singaporeans really follow the rules...when we wanted 2 get across to a particular store...we had to walked a lot further down...where there was proper traffic light n the zebra stripes thingys to cross the road! n of cuz we have 2 walked back up to the store... if u dun get wat i mean..juz imagine doing an extremely unnecessary u-turn... b4 we started shopping we had a sausage set for lunch/tea... i tink it was worth the money.. the sausage was the fat kind with the intestine wrapping...nice!

we had lunch at Lei's Garden with jac's dad's frens... it was some expensive chinese restaurant... jac dad joked dat he cant afford it so sumbody else has to pay... haha
we had shark fin soup! not the usual shreaded kind... but REAL PIECES OF shark fins!! yum!! i liked the dessert too! we had mango pamelo and almond cream....delicious!!!
so yeah...the dinner was ard 695 sing dollars...so times 2.33 to get m'sian ringgit....but it doesnt matter...i'm not the 1 paying! after dinner they had a little supper but i wasnt interested...i was too tired from both eating n walking...

3rd n last day we had breakfast n left for singapore after checking out of the hotel...it was raining n traffic was terrible! it took so loonnngggg.....
and yeah we had 2 walked in the rain again bcuz it was raining in s'pore AGAIN!!! this time ard we were more daring so jac n i did some illegal crossing...haha...singaporeans hardly cross the roads whenever they feel like it like in m'sia

i was also amused by the number of rubbish bins...we were walking n i kept seeing the green bins...so i laffed n told jac....her reaction was 'oh ya hor...look theres another one....n theres another b4 that!!' and no there were no rubbish piles under signs that says 'do not litter' like in m'sia...haha..i guess it bcoz in s'pore u get fined for almost everything!

jac: oh yea we cant eat chewing gum rite
me: y? r u eating??
jac: no...wanted to...den realised dat i'm in singapore..
(laughing) being in s'pore really makes u more self-desciplined no?

i bet if anybody eavesdropped on us they can tell immediately that we're not from here...which was y i found it strange that sum1 actually asked ME for directions!! lol.... so embarassing to say i dunno...hope the guy didnt think i was being rude on purpose...

so we did a bit of shopping on both days... but it was so difficult!! especially when ur mind keeps converting sing dollars into ringgit n u realise that its not worth it!

me: (staring at a handbag) are u really worth it?? ARE YOU????
jac: can u pls stop talking 2 the handbag....

that was when i realised i was losing it... i told jac beforehand that we were on a mission...n i wont leave s'pore empty-handed bcuz i wud juz DIE out of regret

so of course i came home wif stuff!!!

all in all... i managed 2 get my hands on 3 bags, (YES 3 n dun ask me y! i dunno y i did that! i dun even need 3 bags...GAHH) 1 purse, 2 tops, 1 dunno wat 2 call it...umm decorative item?, stationary( yes i noe i'm weird), n a big bar of choc(which resulted in my mum sayin: our hse got too much chocs adi!!!)....of course this list is from shopping in both s'pore n the hotel mall(duty-free!!cudn resist!)..if it were all fr s'pore i wud be seriously dead broke!!

ok i'm tired so thats all 4 now... wanted 2 write more but i'll spare u...

Yes, 2day is da last day of year 2007, this means that we r getting a year older on the next day. 2007 is da last year for da food family members 2 hv a num. 1 in front of our age n da following year we will hv a 2, a 2 can u imagine that!!!

Since 2day is da last day of da year so i think i shud write sth. Even though is da last day of the year but definitely not da last day of the blog hope that the food family members will continue actively posting. After school starts i believe every one will be bz with their works but dun forget da blog cos this is da place where v actually keep in touch with every 1 (remember our initial purpose for having this blog). so members please dun dissappear urself!!!

Thx 2 our cow hu has provided us with so many infos on places 2 go for new year's eve. I really want 2 go count down with "ALL" our family members so that this time v can really take our "chuen ka fook". it has been a long time v din't hv our family photos but i think it;s kinda hard, hope there will be MIRACLE (i believe in MIRACLE).i want go count down!!! play, play n play.

here's a quick summary that i've seen on today's newspaper...maybe can serve as a guide for u all to plan where to go...

countdown to 2007 party~~

genting highlands---haha..pao juz came back from there...=P..it will be held at First World Plaza with performance from local chinese guest artistes..follow up by massive fireworks show when the clock strikes 12....party starts from 9.30pm till late...entry is FOC...=)
Bintang Walk---we've juz been there for christmas...=P...party begins from 7pm onwards till late night....entry is FOC too...it's a street party and concert featuring local chinese singers and not to forget fireworks...what's new year without fireworks?? hehe..expect lots of spraying of snow foam at the stroke of midnight!!! *runs*
Sunway Lagoon Theme Park---this is the only party that requires entrance fee...adults are priced at RM 88 nett and children will be RM 55 nett...*expensive!!* however, one good new for latecomers is that the cover charge after 10pm is only RM 50...slightly cheaper...but still expensive...haha...doors open at 7pm till late. it's a SPLASH SURF BEACH PARTY with special appearance by 45 finalists of the Miss World Tourism contest as well as performances by local bands...spectacular fireworks display is set to light up the midnight sky~
The Curve in Mutiara Damansara---party starts from 6pm till late...no entry fee required...and expect a carnival atmosphere which includes concert featuring our very own Malaysian Idol 1 winner...Jaclyn Victor...Reshmonu and other artistes will be there to join in the fun too...lots of bargains and promotions will be happening at the concourse area..flea market will be there till 12 midnight too!!!
One Utama Shopping Complex---this is one big countdown party named UCountdown street party which involves international artistes such as Australian Band North, Genie Chuo from Taiwan and not to left out local artiste Nicholas Teo..they all will be performing along with Myfm deejays...placed at Central Park Avenue - main entrance of new wing, the party begins at 6.30pm till late..entry is FOC as well and incredible fireworks are to be expected to light up the celebrations!! i think this is the biggest party of all...=P

oh and yes before i forget...wanna congrats eggie!! saw ur name on newspaper for TUC...congrats again!!! u have another reason to celebrate...=P...and another good news here!!! MNG IS HAVING FURTHER 70% REDUCE!!! omg!!! rush for it!!!

i saw in on yesterday's newspaper...it stated that in conjunction with VMY 2007----Visit Malaysia 2007....a giant ferris wheel will be build at KL's Taman Tasik Titiwangsa...sounds nice eh?? however, it is said that the 60m-high contraption with its 42 gondolas will not be a permanent landmark in the city....how ridiculous...juz build it for the sake of VMY 2007...it is sure gonna be a major tourist attraction but i dun understand why cant the government juz keep this amazing ferris wheel in the city??probably for our next generation...>.<

it is to be launched on the 6th of january...called Eye On Malaysia aimed to provide city folks with a view of KL...i'm getting all so excited to see it in KL...moreover, according to the newspaper...the gondalas of the ferris wheel will be fully air-conditioned...*wahhh...*and can take in up to 8 adults at one time....whHeEe...all food family's members can be fitted inside too..hehe...how nice...

if and only if we can all go and visit this newly installed ferris wheel....and leave memories there...and i think it will be a great idea for couples to travel in the gondala for a bird's-eye-view of KL night life....when suddenly the guy goes on his knees and propose to the girl of his choice with a big bunch of roses and not to forget the significant ring..with fireworks display as the backdrop...i noe it sounds all so romantic but that can only happen in my dream...haha..

to be frank...i've nvr travel in a ferris wheel b4...yea...i noe i'm a bit left out...i dunno why i juz dun have the chance to experience this...hopefully someday next year i will be sitting in this new ferris wheel in KL...haha...

hey.. sorry for taking such a long time to blog...

somehow my laziness has conquered me...

as u all know, I went to Genting which is the city of FREEZING ICE to celebrate my X'mas with my college mates...

sadly, we got to go there by public transport since no one's able to drive there..

we went there by bus and cable car...

during de cable car trip, we will not forget cam-whore =)

maybe cam-whoring is one of we human's nature personality... hehe

they are not twins... cuz they are triplets! they have an elder brother..hehe

this is just the beginning of the cam-whore session...

when we reached there, we did not forget to take with all the nice deco...

smoker... tsk tsk.... *though i did have some puffs =P*

even santa & santarina also got dragged by us to take pic =P

after that, we went to first world hotel to check in..

our hotel-the room was really small... and the toilet can only fit in 1 person -_-

a bed is not for us to sleep, but its for us to jump on it till the springs come out =P

its a MUST for us to spend till our pocket get holes and our wallets becoming lighter when we come to Genting =)

the arcade, which burned my 10 bucks in just 2-3 swipes... -_-

what great way to con my money....

then, the next cheapest-yet-use-up-alot-of-time's activity is.. bowling

the contrast... shortest and tallest...

pose looked nice... but the direction of the ball rolling to doesn't look nice though

threesome of the day.. with one extra fella - the BIG BRIGHT lamp post who was not suppose to be in the pic

nearing 12 am, we went outside genting hotel with LOADS of people there for the count down...

we were expecting some fire works but due to the messy situation the fire works was canceled...

anyhow we did enjoy ourself with people sprayin the snow spray around...

the environment was great...

the happiness drew on our faces =)

i think i really need to go for plastic surgery because i noticed that people tend to spray the thing on my face when they saw me... -_-"

my pimples are really going to pop up more and more...

note: its more and more till my whole face growing full of pimples...

couple of the day <3

everything was goin great until the people incharged came to confiscate the snowspray people had...

the situation was really horrible...

people were throwing the snowspray can untill they pissed the people incharged off...

so then they brought the mini fire and rescue car to make the crowds to leave the place...

nevertheless, it didn't work...

then here comes the HUGE fire and rescue car...

the crowds did not leave though...

everyone was waiting for something to happen in order to watch something exciting...

after that we got kinda bored and went back to the room to have out mini casino

we were happily losing money

while the gamble king vei lun happily winning money as well...

his lucky cards that made him won 16 bucks from each of us... luckily i wasn't there at that time =)

we didn't sleep for the whole night

this is the punishment for the people who slept

tsk tsk..

the next morning, we were like a bunch of zombies

due to the over exhaustion, some people who maybe got out of their mind suggested to go out and see the sun rise... note that it was really cold out there and i got warned not to get blown by the wind...

so then, we forcefully began our x'mas day on 6+ in the morning to watch the sunrise...

sadly, we were late and we missed it... not even an egg yolk -_-

however, the scenery was great
