We started off without any preparation...unprepared of the horrible living condition, unprepared of the hectic lifestyle, unprepared of the stiff competition, unprepared of living far away from home. However, as time goes by, we slowly embrace the life as an Ausmatian. As what seniors told us, Year 11 is a honeymoon year, yet, we juniors felt otherwise. We struggled through endless quizzes, topic tests, assignments; went through the trouble of completing TP and IA for ESLS, not to mention the time we deal with our C++ computing assignments.

Those were the days in Year 11. We completed Year 11 and enjoyed a joyful 1 month plus holidays before returning to face the harsh reality of Year 12 life.

We know life is no longer a bed of roses. We know we have to stand by each others’ side providing endless support and encouragement. We are definitely sure that life in Year 12 will be harder than Year 11. That was right!

I’m glad and lucky to meet a bunch of nice people during my days in Ausmat. We’ve really been through a lot a lot! From the beginning of Year 12, the day where we were all placed in separate classes to the day where we had our first lesson, the day where we got our 1st assignment, the hard times of finding a suitable topic with the fear of the topic will be rejected, the day where we started our first lab session, the day where we completed our ESLS investigative study, Chemistry SRT, Biology Human Awareness Essay, Physics project, Math project…not forgetting those times we burn the midnight oil in study room, struggle to fit all those info into our brain.

On the other hand, there were sweet moments too. I will always remember those times where we celebrated birthdays, those times where we had fun after all the topic tests, those times where we were undecided of where to have dinner. All these small little things may seem insignificant but to me it is this entire little thing that draws a smile on my face.

To all my dear friends, especially the study room gang – Che jie, Ding ma, Ann jie, Sook May, Shirin, Mao Mao, Siu Mou, La cha, Charlene and my dearest owner, Pat, THANK YOU so much for being there for me all these while. Thanks for being a great friend that can share both my joy and sorrow. I cherish the time we spent even though it is only a mere 18 months, but I believe, the ship that we built will be strong and will always be. Cheers!

On the 27th of November, AUSMAT 18 Grand Dinner was held at Concorde Shah Alam. The theme of the night was 'A Dream Come True'. It is based on fairy tale - like theme. So, dress code will be in pastel colours in order to suit the theme well.

The Deco Team members were in the hotel early in the morning to decorate the ballroom for the event. However, we did little decoration because a lot of things were ready by the hotel staffs, without our knowledge, of course. They even changed the whole floor plan of our ballroom. Okay, I guess I better not go into that.

We finished our work around 12pm and went to the hotel room given to rest a while and get ready beautifying ourself. You know how girls can take forever just to look pretty? We did everything by ourself including make-up and hair. I was lucky to have Ding ma to help me with my hair. She's really pro! All of us got ready by 5.30pm and went to the ballroom to get ready. The people only arrived around 6.30pm. So yea, we were pretty bored and what do we do to kill time? cam-whore of course! Pictures speak louder than words!

A memorable night, with tears of joy flowing as well as tears of sadness. Until today, i still can hear the loud 'YAmmmmMmm Seenggg' by almost all the Bio and Engine chinese students echo-ing in my ears! Cheers! I believe we'll meet again!
